Lyn Marie Price
Lyn’s painting career began in Rockhampton at the age of 5 years with water colour tutoring by a local Water Colour Artist.
Lyn won numerous prizes in local Agricultural Shows and competitions before moving to the Gold Coast in 1972. At that time she began painting in oils and has loved the medium ever since.
In 1996 she studied with Peter Abraham at Southport and later at the RQAS Broadbeach. While living in the Gold Coast Hinterland Lyn worked and exhibited at Galleries at Canungra and Tamborine.
She has continued to paint in both oils; and water colour and has won various prizes in local art competitions and rural shows including RQAS competitions.
Lyn prefers to vary her subjects but likes to paint things that inherently Australian. Having travelled throughout Australia over the years she gains inspiration from the diversity and beauty of the Australian landscapes and its cultural heritage.
