JUNE WILLOUGHBY
| Born in Wanganui, New Zealand 1929, Married with 5 children, our family immigrated to Australia in 1976, and settled in the heart of the Gold Coast. Arts and Crafts have always been an interest of mine and the Gold Coast inspired me to commence Fabric Painting.I began studying art at the Brin Jones Fine School of Art which created an interest in painting birds and animals in acrylics, watercolours, pastels and oils. The portraits I have done are mostly of my grandchildren, of which I have 14.
Landscapes are also a favourite of mine, many paintings inspired from scenery on canal trips through Europe, a few have been sold overseas in England, Canada and New Zealand and locally from the Broadbeach Gallery.
I have won a number of awards at the Royal Queensland Gallery.
