
Opportunity for Members of RQAS Gold Coast
to participate in the Gold Coast Art Festival
to be held March 3rd – 25th at Broadwater Parklands Southport
- An extensive programme of music, dance, workshops and demonstrations have been planned for this festival with exhibitions by sculptors, potters and writers and the RQAS has been invited to provide art works for display.
- Held over 4 weekends with a separate theme for each – Members are invited to submit their intention to participate in this festival.
Paintings submitted must have the theme as the subject.
3rd & 4th March Theme: EARTH
10th & 11th March Theme: WATER
17th & 18th March Theme: WIND (Air)
24th & 25th March Theme: FIRE
- EXhibition hours 10am to 3pm
- A covered area will be provided for artists who wish to paint on site (following the theme). Easels and other support material to be supplied by each artist.
- Maximum of 4 paintings per artist per theme can be hung for sale. There will be no commission payable on sales.
- Hanging Screens will be provided. There will be some area that will provide overhead protection but the main display will be in the open where non-framed pieces would be more suitable.
- Artists to have the option of hanging work for one or both days of each weekend. Overnight secured storage is available or work can be taken home and returned next day.
- Artist are to be responsible for hanging, sales and removal of their own work and will be expected to stay on site for the hours 10am to 3pm, or arrange for someone else to do so on their behalf.
