LACK, Bernadette

Artist Profile: Consequent to completion of tertiary studies in commercial illustration at the Central Technical College in Brisbane, Bernadette worked as a Commercial Artist for five years prior to her marriage, at which point she embarked on extensive overseas travel throughout Europe.Exploration of form and composition draw on a primary medium of oil and acrylic on canvas, which has led to a further desire and development of watercolour techniques. Her subject matter exhibit painterly interpretations of photo realism; human form is often graceful; whilst scapes and settings employ further diversification of impressionist techniques. Now a member of Royal Queensland Art Society, Bernadette’s work is currently exhibited throughout the Gold Coast, currently featured at Cafe D’Bar Gallery in Coolangatta and The Royal Queensland Art Society in Broadbeach.

Bernadette’s work is a fusion of cultural experiences, from Central Australia through the South Pacific, into Asia and most recently through South America. This, in conjunction with her continuing love of the performing arts and fashion is merely a predecessor to what is a rapidly expanding and well recognised portfolio of artwork for this emerging artist…
